هدفت الدراسة الراهنة، إلى محاولة الكشف عن العلاقات الارتباطية والتنبؤية وطبيعتها، بين كل من متغيري أنماط التشويه المعرفي والعوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية من جانب، ومتغير التطرف الفكري من جانب آخر، لدى عينة من المراهقين من الجنسين من طلبة التعليم الثانوي العام والفني. The present study aimed at trying to reveal the correlative and predictive relationships between each of the variables of types of cognitive distortion and the big five factors of personality, and the variable of intellectual extremism, among a sample of adolescents of both sexes from general and technical secondary education students.
A stratified random sample of general and technical secondary school students was selected for the study, It concluded with (400) male and female students, from the age group (15-18) years, and a number of psychological measures were applied to them to identify and measure the variables of the study. Statistical methods such as Pearson correlation coefficient and gradual regression analysis were applied to reveal the correlative and causal predictive relationships of these variables. The results revealed that there is a substantial correlation and causal relationship between the variables measured, in the total sample of the study and its two subgroups.
