This study was observational one -shot case study design. It was conducted at laboratory of EMG at Faculty of Physical Therapy, Ahram Canadian University from 5 December 2022 to 3 January 2023 in order to investigate the impact of changing ankle position on the deep peroneal nerve's motor distal latency and sensory onset latency. Neuropack S1 MEB-9004 NIHON KODEN, JAPAN was utilized to provide an objective evaluation of these two parameters.
Thirty- one healthy subjects of both genders with age ranging from 20 to 40 years old were included in this study by convenient sampling. Both motor distal and sensory onset latencies of the deep peroneal nerve were measured from three different positions of the ankle joint:
1st: Neutral ankle position.
2nd:20-degree ankle dorsiflexion.
3rd:40-degree ankle plantar flexion.
Then collected data were analyzed using repeated measure ANOVA test and pair comparison was done using post hoc-test. أجري هذا البحث علي عدد واحد وثلاثين من الأشخاص الأصحاء من كلا الجنسين وتتراوح أعمارهم بين 20-40عاما، وقد ت استخدام جهاز التخطيط الكهربائي لللأعصاب لقياس متغيرين احدهما خاص بالمقاييس الحركية والأخر خاص بالمقاييس الحسية للعصب الشظوي العميق وذلك في ثلاثة أوضاع مختلفة لمفصل الكاحل،وهي الوضع المتعادل وعشرون درجة ثني خلفي للكاحل وأربعون درجة ثني أمامي للكاحل. النتائج : أظهرت النتائج أن لتغيير وضعية مفصل الكاحل تأثير ذات دلالة احصائية علي كلا المتغيرين الحركي والحسي للعصب الشظوي العميق حيث كانت متوسط النتائج للمتغير الحركي(4.2 – 5 -3.8)لكل من الوضع المتعادل ووضع الثني للامام والثني للخلف علي الترتيب وكذلك كانت متوسط النتائج للمتغير الحسي (2.6- 3.3 – 2.4)لنفس ال3 أوضاع علي الترتيب
