The present work aims at using of GIS, remote sensing (RS) and data, as a mean for mapping and detection of pertrocalcic and petrogypsic horizons in the cultivated areas in maryout region, North-western coast of Egypt. The area under investigation bounded by longitudes 29o 35 13.60 and 29o 57 03.25 east and latitudes 30o 45 00.15 and 30o 56 35.47 North with a total area of about 757.80 km2 180428.57 feddans
