This study suggests that rigid internal fixation by plates and screws promotes bone healing without the extensive use of maxillo - mandibular fixation (MMF) avoiding its multiple disadvantages with rapid return to function and patient satisfaction.It provides proper alignment of the fractured segments.Because of its efficacy they represent a preferred and reliable method of internal fixation in cases of anterior mandibular fractures
