Photograph conservation is a relatively new field triggered by the increasing awareness of the value of photographic records as powerful documentary tools that tell us stories about ourselves and our society . The invention of photography did not occur in a moment of inspired insight it has a long history . Many photographic precesses were introduced as a result however silver gelatin process is by far the most common process
