In this thesis , a collisional - radiative model was adopted and applied to the neutral argon plasma using Drawin's rate equations The collisional excitation and ionization rates are calculated at a low electron density regimes in the range of (1016 m - 3 to 1020 m - 3) and at a moderate temperatures in the range of (05 eV to 5 eV)
