The main objective of this work is to produce new bacterial strains with highly toxic, broad - spectrum insecticidal Cry proteins and mosquitocidal binary toxin proteins . To achieve this goal, protoplast fusion experiments were performed between each of the two highly toxic strains of Bacillus thuringiensis (1977 and 66/1a) which were sensitive to polymyxin (pmx s) and streptomycin ( Sm s) and resistant to rifampicin ( Rif) and showed high mortality % against
