Family fabaceae (Leguminoseae) comprises 650 genera and 1800 species many of which are of important medicinal and economical value . Genus enterolobinm is 20 meters high tree belongs to this family . The present work includes phytochemical screening which revealed the presence of flavonids sterols and / or triterpenes carbohydrates tannins and saponins
