The present study aimed at verifying the efficacy of a syllabus based on the whole language approach in developing conversation and writing skills among students at Misr University for Science and Technology. The sample consisted of (38) females and (22) males. They were selected form second year student different colleges as they all study the first level (intermediate level) of English courses as a university requirement
