Thesis work is foused on improving power transformer characteristics by using K- factor and narrow band width transformer (NBT) system . IEEE and thermal models of power transformer are modeled for 25 MVA, ona , ONAF cooling transformer . This thesis reviews the non linear loads effects on the transformers and the standard IEEE proced for derating of transformers which are under distorted currents
