Introduction B cell activating factor, a member of tumor necrosis factor family, is a crucial homeostatic cytokine for B cells. It has been shown to enhance the expression of CD19⁺ cells and mediate the maturation of autoreactive B cells. BAFF is elevated in several autoimmune diseases including immune thrombocytopenic purpura ITP
