The primary purpose of this study is to present a mathematical dispersion model of drilling mud and cuttings in sea water . This model predicts the average sector pollutant concentrations in the water downstream of a single point source rig discharge . The present model is based on Gaussian Plume Model to calculate the average concentration in 8 directions (45 - sector) around an offshore drilling rig
