The effect of 17-Ý estradiol (EST ; 100 og\kg ; s.c.) and genstein (GEN ; mg\kg ; s.c.) on the cardiovascular , metabolic and biochemical changes associated with fructose (21 % in deinking water for 8 weeks) - induced insulin resistance in rats was the aim of this study . To achieve this aim both sham - operated and ovariectomized mature female rats received fructose for induction of insulin resistance
