The conventional melting and quenching method were used in the preparation of the Er³⁺: Yb³⁺ co-doped potassium-lead-germanate glass with optimum ratio 0.5 mol. % of Er ³⁺ and 2.5 mol. % of Yb ³⁺ (1:5) . Raman spectroscopy and FT - IR were used to study the structure and the vibrational modes of this glass . Measurement of Raman spectrosopy showed that the maximum phonon enrgy of this glass was approximately 811 cm⁻¹
