Study of the effect of "Decorin" in prevention of experimental proliferative vitreoetinopathy (PVR) using a rabbit model of posterior penetrating ocular trauma / دراسة تأثير عقار الدوكورين فى الوقاية من الإعتلال الشبكى المتكاثر (بى . : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Ophthalmology
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of decorin a naturally occurring TGFß inhibitor in an experimental rabbit model for PVR . Resuls : The pilot study showed at four weeks fibrous ingrowths were found in all eyes . Formaldehyde 4% induced a fixative dependent retinal detachment that was absent in control eyes fixed with formaldehyde/glutaraldehyde
