The present work aims to develop a 3 - D Finite Element (FE) model , for the modeling of hot rolling process of square into oval - box shape during the break down sequence of the rolled shapes . The FE model is formulated by using ABAQUS 6.91 . The stock material (which is steel 52) is assumed to be elastic-plastic , the flow curve is modeled as a function of the temperature , Shida formula is applied for the description of strain and strain rate
