Investigation of spectral - temporal correlations in bursts from the magnetar SGR 1900+14 / SGR 1900 + 14 دراسة العلاقات الزمنية والطيفية المنبعثة الماجنيتار Sherehan Mohamed Ahmed Shehata ; Supervised Mohammed Rassem , Alaa Ibrahim Hussein - Cairo : Sherehan Mohamed Ahmed Shehata , 2012 - 87P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Astronomy and Meteorology
Magnetars are newly discovered cosmic sources of high energy radiations that emit short intense bursts of x-rays and -rays . Studying the spectral and temporal properties of these bursts allows us to identify the physical mechanism responsible for their emission and to probe the interaction of radiation and matter at extreme conditions of temperature gravity and magnetic field that cannot be reproduced in earth - based laboratories or particle accelerators
Bursts Gamma rays Individual (SGR1900 + 14)
