Objective : Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) is a marker of cardiovascular disease the purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of ox-LDL in patients with chronic periodontitis as well as the effect of non-surgical periodontal therapy on ox-LDL serum levels . Results : Ox-LDL levels showed statistically significant decrease after non- surgical periodontal treatment for both cardiac / periodontitis patients and periodontitis only patients
