Background: Neck pain is a popular complaint in the general population. Development of neck symptoms in certain occupations, such as video display terminal operators, is believed to occur as a consequence of adopting sustained non-neutral spinal postures in conjunction with increased activation of the neck-shoulder stabilizer muscles, which eventually results in higher levels of cervical spine loading
