Convolvulaceae (morning glory or bindweed family) comprises up to 1650 species belonging to approximately 60 genera, 370 species belong to the genus convolvulus. Members of this family are widely cultivated for their colorful funnel shaped flowers. convolvulus sabatius viviani is a cultivated ornamental plant, which is distributed in Italy and North Africa. The present study was initiaed to throw a light on convolvulus sabatius Viv., where the pharmacognostical properties and biological activites are examined
