Radiofrequency ablation of thoracic dorsal root ganglia in chronic malignant thoracic pain / التردد الحرارى فى إزالة العقد الجذرية الخلفية الصدرية فى الآلام الصدرية السرطانية المزمنة Rasha Hosny Mohamed Gad Alla ; Supervised Algohary Mousa Tantawy , Ghada Mohamed Elawady , Taher Saied Thabet - Cairo : Rasha Hosny Mohamed Gad Alla , 2013 - 128 P. : photographs ; 25cm
Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - National Cancer Institute - Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Relief
The aim of this prospective randomized study was to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of lesioning of dorsal root ganglion by pulsed radiofrequency in treatment of malignant thoracic pain. Sixty-four patients scheduled for pain management were divided randomly into two equal groups; 32 patients each, group was managed with pulsed radiofrequency to dorsal root ganglia in thoracic region, group was managed by pharmacological therapy to control pain
