Multifocal visual evoked potential in idiopathic intracranial hypertension / الجهد المثار البصرى متعدد البؤر فى ارتفاع الضغط غير المسبب داخل الجمجمة Aliaa Ali Tawfeek Hussien ; Supervised Hala Rashad Elhabashy , Amira Mohamed Elgohary , Radwa Mahmoud Azmy - Cairo : Aliaa Ali Tawfeek Hussien , 2013 - 103 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Neuropsychiatry
Purpose: to assess the multifocal visual evoked potential changes in idiopathic intracranial hyertension patients and to compare conventional visual evoked potential and multifocal visual evoked potential methods in detecting optic pathway affection in idiopathic intracranial hypertension patients. Methods: multifocal visual evoked potentials and conventional visual evoked potentials were recorded during the same session in 30 eyes of idiopathic intracranial hypertension patients with an active electrode at Oz to Fz (Oz-Fz) for the conventional visual evoked potential and the active electrodes of the multifocal visual evoked potential at the inion in the form of cross elecrode fixed around the inion and the ground at Fz
