Prognostic significance of nucleophosmin gene (NPM1) mutations in acute myeloid leukemia / أثر إختلال النيكلوفوسمين جين على المسار المرضى لمرضى السرطان الميلودى الحاد Heba Allah Elsayed Abdelrhman ; Supervised Hussein Moustafa Khaled , Ragia Hussein Badawy , Ayman Mohamed Metwally - Cairo : Heba Allah Elsayed Abdelrhman , 2013 - 226 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - National Cancer Institute - Department of Clinical Pathology
The remarkable molecular heterogeneity of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has made a genetic - based classification, essential for accurate diagnosis, prognostic stratification, monitoring minimal residual disease, and developing targeted therapies. NPM1 mutations represent the most frequent alterations in AML, occurring in approximately one third of adult patients with AML, and are associated with a normal karyotype
