Electric machines are frequently exposed to non - ideal or even detrimental operating environments . Amongst all types of electrical motor faults stator winding turn fault is next to bearing faults in number of occurrences . Investigation shows that 60% -78% of all electrical motor failures fall into this two incipient faults
