Expression of insulin- like growth factorbinding protein- 2 and 7(IGFBP2 and IGFBP7) genes in acute myeloid leukemia / ظهور جينات بروتينات عامل النمو الشبيهة بالأنسولين 2 و 7 فى سرطان الدم النخاعى الحاد Safa Mohamed Nabawy ; Supervised Doha Abdelhamid Mokhtar , Maha Abdelhamid Taweel , Amira Diyaa Darwish - Cairo : Safa Mohamed Nabawy , 2013 - 113 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Clinical and Chemical Pathology
Background: Insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), IGF receptors, and IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) constitute the IGF system. Alterations of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) system have been demonstrated in different hematological and solid malignancies and provide a potential target for novel anticancer therapies. AIM of the study: Evaluating the expression of human insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2 and 7 (IGFBP2 and IGFBP7), as new candidate genes implicated in leukemia and correlating the results with the different clinical and laboratory findings of the patients.
