Objective: This study was performed to detect early stages of potentially oral premalignant and malignant lesions using the new oral brush biopsy, and the ThinPrep technique of the liquid based cytology. The study was also compared between the brush biopsy and the incisional biopsy. Subjects and methods: The study was performed on a total of forty patients, collecting information about consumption of tobacco, education level and the social statues of every patient. Patients diagnosed as having any suspicious lesions of the oral cavity, irrespective of site, stage and gender
