FOPA is an effective educational program was created by Dr. Maheeb Abdel Ghaffar -the thesiss supervisor - in 1995. It performs a series of first-order elastic analysis on steel frames and gets detailed results. The objectives of this thesis are: to make FOPA friendlier to the user, enhance its performance and expand its usage. To achieve that, the program is updated through restructuring the main program and improving the graphical user interface. Also, an informative property is added to the program which is performing stochastic analysis by Monte Carlo simulations.
