Hardness testing is one of the most important mechanical tests where it can uses to detect the mechanical properties of the engineering materials. This research aims to develop primary Vickers hardness testing machine (PVHM) with low uncertainty, and high accuracy , and to obtain international recognition of its results by comparing the results of this standard machine with those outside Egypt ,thus put Egypt represented in the National Institute of measurement and calibration among the countries which have the PVHM with calibration measurements capabilities similar to that in international institutions. The existence of this type of machines to grant support to hardness measurements in Egypt and put it on the International metrological map in this area, also its a type of technology transfer. it is the only one in Africa and the arab region
