Interoduction: Inguinal hernia repair with mesh is one of the most common operations performed worldwide and chronic pain following inguinal hernia repair is quite common and may reduce quality of life. The treatment of chronic groin pain after surgery may be difficult for both the patient and the surgeon. Many algorithms have been advocated for management of such cases, but none of them has been accepted totally. Interferential Therapy has been used in clinical practice for reducing pain and other symptoms following musculoskeletal injury. Aim of the study: To detect the therapeutic efficacy of interferential therapy to reduce chronic post operative pain after inguinal hernia repair. Subjects and Methods: Forty adult male patients were operated upon as inguinal hernioplasty with synthetic mesh repair and their ages were ranged from 30 - 50 years. The patients were randomly assigned into two equal groups (20 patients for each group): (study group and control group). Results: Regarding comparison between the two groups, there was a significant difference between the improvements of pain score and physical activity
