Seroma is the most common complication following mastectomy . Tetracycline , as a sclerosing agent, has long been used in the treatment of postmastectomy seroma. The present study was carried out to evaluate the efficacy of tetracycline local injection for treating postmastectomy seroma in 20 female patients. 11 patients (55%) responded well to the treatment from the first session, while treatment was not effective in 7 patients (35%) , and 2 patients (10%) had infected wounds. Tetracycline is a feasible and cheap treatment of postmastectomy seroma
