This study was conducted to investigate the effect of foot reflexology on gestational ankle edema. Thirty pregnant women aged 25 to 35 years old and body mass index was 30 kg/m², participated in this study.They were assigned into two groups equal in number: Control group received only traditional physical therapy protocol in the form of advices including elevation, wearing supportive stocking and avoiding standing in one position for extended periods in addition to circulatory exercises, 3times per week for 4 weeks;while study group received the same traditional physical therapy protocol in addition to, foot reflexology 3times per week for 4 week. Evaluation was done through assessment of edema volume using foot volumeter , as well as bothersomeness of the swelling using the patient reported edema questionnaire at the beginning and after the end of the study course for both groups
