Biochemical evaluation of activity level of Kallikrein-7 and Kallikrein-10 for diagnosis of breast cancer" / تقييم كيميائى حيوى لمستوى نشاط كاليكرين -7 وكاليكرين-10 لتشخيص سرطان الثدى Demiana Alqess Gebraiel Girgis Hanna ; Supervised Bahia Y. Riad , Nadia I. Zakhary , Mohamed A. Eldesouky - Cairo : Demiana Alqess Gebraiel Girgis Hanna , 2015 - 126 P. : charts ; 25cm
Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Biochemistry
Aim: This work has been carried out to evaluate the kallikrein7 (KLK7) and kallikrein10 (KLK10) levels as biochemical markers for diagnosing the breast cancer patients. Subjects: control group, benign group, breast cancer group including different subgroups: early stage subgroup, late stage subgroup, low grade subgroup and high grade subgroup. Both KLK7 and KLK10 were measured using ELISA kit. Finally all the results were statistically analyzed and compared with control group. Results and conclusion: Both KLK7 and KLK10 showed high sensitivity and specificity for differentiating between both the early and late stages and the low and high grades of breast cancer. They can be used for the early diagnosis of breast cancer
