Response of nitric oxide to pulsed electromagnetic field versus circuit weight training in diabetic prehypertensives / استجابة اكسيد النيتريك للمجال الكهرومغناطيسي النابض مقابل التدريب بحلقة الاوزان لدى مرضى السكري المعرضين لإرتفاع ضغط الدم Khulood Mohamed Abdulaziz Alnagar ; Supervised Azza Abdelaziz Abdelhady , Dalia Ahmed Mohamed , Hany Farid Eid Morsy Elsisi - Cairo : Khulood Mohamed Abdulaziz Alnagar , 2015 - 155 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics Disorders
Purpose: To compare the effect of pulsed electromagnetic field and circuit weight training on nitric oxide, blood glucose & blood pressure in diabetic prehypertensive patients . Results: For group (A) (PEMF) nitric oxide increased by 220%, compared to group (B) (CWT) nitric oxide (NO) increased by 317.5%, and glucose level decreased in (PEMF) group by 21.18% compared to glucose level in (CWT) group reduced by 27.29%. No significant difference in the blood pressure (SBP, DBP). Conclusion: circuit weight training is more significant, however, PEMF also can be used as adjuvant method to treat diabetes for the minimum effect
