In this work, comparative study between MCPE and MSPE modified with different ion pairs as EC-PTA, EC-PMA and EC-RN and the ICPE and ISPE modified with different ion pairing agents as PTA, PMA, RN and NaTPB was described. The electrodes were performed for the determination of econazole nitrate in pure and pharmaceutical forms. The two types of electrodes were characterized and investigated with respect to the experimental parameters affecting their performance including temperature, pH, response time and interference. The electrodes showed good selectivity to ECN with respect to the interfering ions and inorganic cations. Determination of econazole nitrate in pharmaceutical form was performed using calibration, standard addition and potentiometric titration methods. Validation parameters such as accuracy, precision, linearity, specificity, limit of detection and limit of quantification were achieved. The obtained results were in a good agreement with those obtained by the official method
