Mucous membranes including vaginal, nasal and mouth membranes are vulnerable to different disorders such as inflammation, congestion, fungal and/or bacterial infections. For sufficient treatment of these disorders, local and/or systemic multicomponent pharmaceutical preparations are used. Nasal preparations include ingredients such as antihistamines, alpha agonists, anti- inflammatory and others. The active ingredients cover a range of structures with widely varying polarities and include both acidic and basic compounds. Phenylephrine, Dimetindene Maleate, Carbinoxamine Maleate, Sodium Cromoglycate and Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride are widely used in combinations for the clinical treatment of common cold, sinusitis, bronchitis and respiratory allergies. The aim of this work was to develop potential, reliable fast and efficient analytical methodologies for various dosage forms which can estimate all the major ingredients of multicomponent formulations used for treatment of mucous membranes disorders. Also to investigate purity using analytical methods which are capable of determining the studied drugs in their combinations and in presence of their impurities. Various analytical techniques were used for the simultaneous analysis of these mixtures. The proposed methods were simple, accurate, and reproducible, which would be feasible, and sensitive for the determination of the studied drugs. The proposed methods were validated according to ICH-guidelines
