This thesis consists of four parts including, the scientific study, literature review, references and summaries. Part : General introduction for locally acting drugs was presented. Part : Stability-indicating methods for determination of Clobetasol propionate in presence of its alkaline degradation products which includes five sections, Section A: Introduction and Literature Review for Clobetasol propionate were discussed, Section B: Forced degradation studies of Clobetasol propionate under alkaline stress condition were presented, Section C: it includes stability indicating TLC densitometric method for the determination of Clobetasol propionate in presence of its alkaline degradation products, Section D: it includes first derivative of ratio spectrophotometric method for determination of Clobetasol propionate in presence of either its alkaline degradation products or Chlorocresol preservative present in its pharmaceutical formulation and Section E: ratio difference spectrophotometric method for determination of Clobetasol propionate in presence of its alkaline degradation products and Chlorocresol in its pharmaceutical formulation. Part : Determination of Benzydamine HCl and co-formulated compounds in its single or ternary mixture pharmaceutical formulations it includes three sections, Section A: includes introduction and literature review for Benzydamine HCl, Benzocaine and Cetalkonium chloride, Section B: includes potentiometric determination of Benzydamine HCl in its pharmaceutical formulations by Ion Selective Electrode and Section C: determination of Benzyadmine HCl, Benzocaine and Cetalkonium Chloride present in their spray form, which includes three subsections, Subsection (a): HPLC method for determination of Benzydamine HCl and Benzocaine, Subsection (b): TLC densitometric method for determination of Benzydamine HCl and Benzocaine and Subsection (c): includes potentiometric determination of Cetalkonium Chloride by Ion Selective Electrode.
