Changes of the choroid are supposed to play a significant role in the pathogenesis of many chorioretinal diseases. By introduction of EDI-OCT, measurement of the choroidal thickness has been possible. In this study, choroidal thickness maps have been generated in different axial length and age groups. The study revealed negative correlation between choroidal thickness and both axial length and age. The choroid was thicker in the subfoveal region than the periphery showing topographic variations
