Identification of material properties of epoxy resins by micro and nano indentation test / Mohamed Essam Khater ; Supervised Elsayed Abdelbary , Christian Marotzke Federal - Cairo : Mohamed Essam Khater , 2014 - 82 Leaves : facsimiles ; 30cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - German University - Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research - Department of Materials Engineering
The investigation pf the elastic property of epoxy resin by indentation test was performed in order to identify the dependency of the elastic constants on the indenter shape. In particular, the influence of the size of the indenters is studied. Nano and micro indentation techniques were applied by using two different typical indentera; a berkovich and a spherical indenter. The experiments were conducted at different indentation depths. Oliver and pharr's method was used to get an estimation of the elastic modulus of the material. In parallel, finite element analysis using ANSYS was performed
