Membrane is an alternative technology of wastewater treatment with filtration principle that is being widely developed and used for water treatment. The main objective of this study was to make an asymmetric membrane using cellulose acetate (CA) polymer and sewage sludge ash (SSA) produced by incineration of sewage sludge to help stabilization of carbonaceous material with a high degree of porosity and reduce the volume of sewage sludge which cause environmental impact and health problems. Adsorptive membrane was prepared from blending CA\SSA by phase inversion method with different ratio (100\0, 90\10, 80\20, 70\30 and 50\50 wt%) in absence and presence of additives poly ethylene glycol (PEG 600) in the casting solution range from 0 to 10 wt% and study the effect of temperature on membrane formation at 25, 40 and 60C on CA\SSA\PEG for calculate the water content, pure water flux, hydraulic resistance pressure and mechanical strength, then characterized membrane by X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform Infrared (FTIR) , scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The efficiency of adsorptive membrane CA\SSA for nickel ions removal from wastewater was study by using the effect of pH, hydraulic retention time and concentration of nickel ions to obtain the optimum conditions for nickel ions removal from wastewater
