Thrust vector control is an e ective method of ying vehicle's directional control. Thrust vectoring using gas injection is attractive as it eliminates the need for complex mechanical systems such as gimbaled nozzles and jet vanes. The current thesis presents a numerical study to investigate the e ect of di erent parameters on the performance of secondary gas injection thrust vector control. The steady three dimensional Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes equations are solved using the nite volume method on unstructured grid. The injection location, mass ow rate, and angle of the secondary injection are varied to examine their e ect on the thrust vectoring performance. Moreover, di erent injection ori ce shapes are investigated. The e ect of the temperature and the injected gas type are also studied. Thrust ratio, axial thrust augmentation factor, and ampli cation factors are calculated in order to be used in comparing the performance. The indicated parameters have to be precisely adjusted to maximize the thrust vectoring performance
