This thesis is about carpooling, a historical background is introduced, its advantages and disadvantage, its application at other countries then previous and current initiatives for applying carpooling in Egypt. Sample is selected from Cairo University, a sample of 739 respondents is selected includes students, employees and faculty members. Descriptive and inferential analyses were run on the variables for easier explanation for each variable and then multinomial logistic regression model is used for describing the relation between decision of applying carpooling and other independent factors. Some demographics are not affecting the decision of participating in carpooling which is not surprising result as it's the same conclusion know by other different researches in different countries due to ethical and traditional concerns while the awareness has an effect on the respondents' decision as the awareness increase as they tend to accept to apply carpooling. After that we discuss some suggestions by respondents and previous research for applying carpooling
