Introduction: Highrisk neonates admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) are suffering from lack of sensory experiences which are vital for normal brain development, rather is exposed to excessive or inappropriately timed stimulation in the NICU that leads to deleterious effects on premature infants whose brains are immaturely developed. Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of multisensory stimulation program on sensory motor behaviour in high risk neonates. Subject and method: Forty high risk neonates were selected from neonatal intensive care unit of Mansoura New Central Hospital, Mansoura Insurance Hospital and Talkha Central Hospital with mean gestational age of 33±1.03 weeks according to new Ballard score, mean weight 1442 ± 228.5 gram. They were randomly allocated into control group and study group. The control group received routine medical and nursery care in the NICU while the study group received the same program in addition to multisensory stimulation program, both groups received the program daily for two successive weeks. The outcomes were measured before and after the intervention by Morgan Neonatal Neurobehavioral Examination and Brazelton neonatal behavioral assessment scale
