In this research the feasibility of utilizing the Re-centering capability of a dual system to create an easy-repairable structure after a severe earthquake was examined. In addition, the systems seismic performance was evaluated by utilizing two methods of structural analyses and comparing the obtained results. Furthermore, the design provision provided in ASCE/SEI 7-10 & ANSI/AISC 341-10 were verified against the desired response. Finally, design and detailing recommendations were introduced for such structural system in order to achieve the required behavior
