This thesis represents an analytical study on some drugs containing secondary amine group. It comprises three parts: Part I is a general introduction and literature review about the studied drugs. Part II includes four chapters, all about the analysis of a ternary mixture of Ambroxol hydrochloride, Guaifenesin and Theophylline in presence of Guaiacol and Caffeine as Guaifenesin and Theophylline impurities, respectively, in addition to pharmaceutical formulation additives. Part III includes five chapters, all elaborate the analysis of a ternary mixture of Bromhexine hydrochloride, Guaifenesin and Salbutamol sulfate in presence of Guaiacol cited as Guaifenesin impurity, and pharmaceutical additives in syrup dosage form
