Background: Ovarian cancer is the seventh most common malignancy in women. It has a higher incidence and is the leading cause of death from gynecological cancer in the developed countries. The radiological modalities (CT/MRI) and tumor markers are the most commonly used in patients with suspected recurrent ovarian cancer; small local recurrence, LN metastasis, small dissemination, and bone/muscle metastasis are difficult to detect.Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical usefulness of FDG PET/CT in patients previously treated for ovarian malignancy to evaluate the presence of recurrence and/or metastatic disease. Patients and Methods: 31 adult female patients ( 18 years) with ovarian cancer presented to Maadi Military Hospital and International Medical Center (IMC) since the period from 2013 to 2018, who underwent whole body (skull to thigh) PET/CT. Results: The study includes 31 females with ovarian cancer aged 54.4 + 11.8 ranging from 24 to 75 years. In the current work peritoneal lesions were the most frequent site followed by local pelvic recurrence and lymph nodes metastasis and other rare sites, such as bone, liver, lung, etc... PET/CT detected more lesions than Ce-CT done; regarding peritoneal, lymph nodes, osseous lesions and operative bed (local recurrence) lesions
