Continued improvements in graft survival have led to widespread acceptance of renal transplantation as the preferred treatment for the majority of patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) because it increases life expectancy and health related quality of life. Although graft survival has improved secondary to the introduction of newer immunosuppression drugs and the advancements in surgical technique, clinicians still deal with relatively frequent dilemmas of allograft dysfunction. Early diagnosis and treatment of allograft dysfunction are crucial to prevent graft failure and other significant morbidities to the patients
