Arecaceae is a large botanical family comprises several genera which reported to have important economic and medicinal uses. A literature survey of plants of this family showed presence of different chemical constituents with interesting biological activities. So, Livistona chinensis and Livistona decipiens (family Arecaceae) were chosen for intensive phytochemical and biological studies especially with poor literature available on the plant. DNA Fingerprinting of Livistona decipiens Becc. and Livistona chinensis (Jacq.) R.Br. fresh leaves. The banding patterns produced by the primers OP B11 and HB-10 generated the highest degree of polymorphism; therefore, this primer could be used to discriminate between interspecific species. However, primer OPC04 and HB-08 generated the lowest percent of polymorphism; these primers could be used for the identification of the genotype
