Diabetes is a significant and growing health problem that affects a lot of people all over the world Diabetic state is associated with many other risk factors such as vision loss , damage to the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and cardiac dysfunction The cardiovascular disease is listed as the leading cause of diabetes - related death The main objective of this study is to investigate whether change in heart rate variability (HRV) signal in people with diabetes are at increased risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) , and used this change in HRV to discriminate diabetic individuals The natural pacemaker of the heart is the sinoatrial (SA) node , which is controlled by the ANS
