Orbit selection for optical and radar remote sensing satellite / الاختيار الامثل لمدارات الاقمار الصناعية الكهروبصرية والرادارية للاستشعار عن بعد Mohamed Sayed Ahmed Elzanaty ; Supervised Mervat Elsayd Awad , Elamira Hend Said Khattab , Mohammad Ahmad Fouad Ali Basha - Cairo : Mohamed Sayed Ahmed Elzanaty , 2019 - 117 P. : charts , facsimiles ; 25cm
Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Astronomy and Meteorology
This thesis aimed to determine and select the best choice of orbits for low earth orbit satellite. The orbit selection procedures are very essential and complex, concerning swap between a numbers of various parameters where the designer picks the best orbital parameters to meet the mission requirements. The orbit typically defines the space mission lifetime, cost, environment, communication links, coverage, availability of launch vehicle, and the payload performance. The numerical and mathematical models are expressed to compute the satellites orbit by MATLAB software under the gravitational second zonal harmonic effect
Access times of satellite Ground track of satellite illumination condition
