This present study was conducted to compare between Pre-extractive inter-radicular implant bed preparation versus conventional post-extractive inter-radicular implant bed preparation in mandibular molars in implant stability and marginal bone loss immediately, 6 months and 1 year after implant placement. This was a randomized controlled clinical trial conducted on 20 patients to evaluate implant stability and marginal bone loss after performing immediate implant in fresh extraction sockets in mandibular molars by using Pre-extractive inter-radicular implant bed preparation versus conventional post-extractive inter-radicular implant bed preparation. All patients were recalled 2 days after the operation then weekly for one month then monthly until the prosthetic phase 6 month postoperative. The clinical evaluation included assessment of post-operative sequelae including edema, pain and postoperative healing. Radiographic evaluation involved cone beam CT radiographs taken for every patient 1week, 6 months and 1 year postoperatively to evaluate crestal bone height loss. While implant stability readings were involved by taking Osstell readings using Osstell device immediately after implant insertion and 6 months postoperative at time of implant of exposure
Bone implant contact (BIC) Immediate Implant placement (IIP) Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ)
